Norway Bans Child Marriage

Norway approved a law banning child marriage, giving the country one of the strictest laws on child marriage in Europe. A government spokesperson said Norway’s law should become a standard across Europe. Under Target 5.3 of the Sustainable Goals, all countries are to ban child marriage by 2030.
