EU Lifts ‘Yellow Card’ on Thailand Fishing Industry

The European Commission has lifted its “yellow card” against Thailand, recognizing the country’s efforts to prevent, deter and eliminate illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing. Since first warned in 2015, Thailand has amended its legal framework, established a deterrent regime and improved its monitoring, control and surveillance systems.
