Canada Launches New National Strategy to Combat Human Trafficking

Canada has launched the National Strategy to Combat Human Trafficking 2019-2024 with a federal financial commitment of  CAD 57.22 million over five years and then CAD 10.28 million per year. According to the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, “the National Strategy will help protect individuals from all forms of human trafficking and introduce a more balanced, holistic and victim-centered approach.”
