Cambodia to Curb Recruitment Fees in Bid to Protect Migrants from Slavery Abroad

Cambodia will cap the large fees imposed by labour brokers on migrant workers seeking jobs abroad, hoping to protect them from modern slavery. The ultimate goal is to bring fees to zero for employees–with the burden placed on the agencies and employers–but first a cap will be placed at USD 100, on par with the government of Myanmar’s plan. Click here to read more.
