The UN General Assembly unanimously adopted an Argentine-sponsored resolution to make 2021 the International Year for the Elimination of Child Labour. UK Launches New Modern Slavery Research Centre

The UK government announced it is creating a new Policy and Evidence Centre for Modern Slavery and Human Rights that will bring together academics, businesses and civil society to strengthen collaboration and conduct new research. The centre will be funded with 10 million GBP from the UK Research and Innovation Strategic Priorities Fund.
