Silvia Marina Pinheiro

Researcher and Coordinator of the Modern Slavery Research Center, BRICS Policy Center – PUC RJ

Dr. Silvia Marina Pinheiro is a professor in the Professional Master’s in Policy Analysis and Management at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (IRI/PUC-Rio), where she is also Researcher and Coordinator of the Modern Slavery Research Center at the BRICS Policy Center. She works socially organizing cooperatives and community business in urban and rural areas and has several research partnerships with international universities to study human rights and environment. Dr. Pinheiro holds a master’s degree in International Relations from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (IRI/PUC-Rio) and a PhD in International Law from the Rio de Janeiro’s State University.
