Vanessa Bautista was born in the United States but was raised in the Philippines. She graduated from the University of the City of Manila in 2016 with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work. During college, she also served in the IJM Manila Field Office as a STAR (Standing Together to Advocate Rights) advocate. Upon graduating, she got her license as a social worker in the Philippines, then decided to live with her family in the US.
