Vitor Filgueiras

Professor of Economics, Federal University of Bahia

Dr. Vitor Filgueiras is a Professor of Economics at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA). He was previously a visiting Professor at the Complutense University of Madrid (2019-2020). He completed his PhD in Social Sciences from UFBA in 2012. He completed a postdoc in Economics at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) (2016). He conducted a postdoctoral Internship at SOAS, University of London in 2015. He was the Secretary of the Brazilian Association of Labor Studies (ABET) from 2018 to 2019). Prior to his academic career, Dr. Filgueiras was a labor inspector for the Ministry of Labor from 2007 to 2017.
